Finished sulfered pendent

Here is the pendent out of the sulfer. Now all I have to do is sand the edges slightly to bring out the rough texture on the edges. I tried to sand the middle of the rings but it didn't look quite as clean so I had to re-sulfer it. I also sulfered the chain so that it matched the other peices. Now all I have to do is attach everything together!

Liver of surfer pendent

Pendent changes (25)

So this is how my pendent turned out after etching...not how I planned. I left it in the etch for a substantial amount of time but the rubber cement seems to have disliked off or something because there is barley the effect I thought I would get.  So now I guess I'll take a hammer to it on the pavement 😆. I'm sure to get the battered look from that.

Etched pendent

So my plan for the pendent now is to etch it so that the "bark" part looks more like bark. And to do that I'll put rubber cement on both sides and the edges spuratically. I plan to do this with the other chain peices as well. Then I will put everything in liver of sulfur and sand the middle of the pendent so the edges will look even more like bark.

Finished chain!

My finished chain. It will later be attached to branches that will stick out form the treering as seen here.

Peices and parts

So I cut little peices of wire and then annealed them until a ball formed on the end. Then I bent the balls up and curved the other end. Then used the pliers to pinch each one together.
